The other day, Chris walks into the office with a pair of scissors in his hand and, proud as punch, announces that he cut his hair.
Oh joy.
At least it can be somewhat covered up:

I did not scold or overreact, I'm proud to say. But he now understands that he is NOT to cut his own hair. Does he look sufficiently contrite?
Checking to make sure I'm not too mad:
Little stinker. Hee hee.
Oh yeah, this is why it brings back memories:

Don't my bangs look fabulous? But when I did it, I got into huge trouble. I couldn't use scissors (one of my favorite things to do) for a whole week! My mom was so unfair! LOL.

Oh, his little smile at the end it too precious. You look JUST like him in your picture!!!!
So, you gave him a comb-over to cover it up?
That's too funny. It's a right of passage in childhood. You're a good mom for being so calm about it.
I've always thought Christopher looks a lot like you, but now that I see what you looked like when you were young, I realize he looks JUST like you.
Why do kids love to cut their own hair??
What is the obsessive curiousity that every kid has about cutting hair? It there a vaccine shot they can take for that?
What a CUTE little girl! Christopher DOES look exactly like you!
I agree, why are kids so obsessed with cutting hair? Smith never cut his own hair, but he did cut his sister's hair for her. He was so proud becuase he "didn't even poke her once with the scissors!"
Oh, that's so nice! Olivia did that a couple weeks ago, too. Why, oh WHY must they all do this? Stinkers! :0)
Love the combover by the way. Hopefully since he's had one as a child he won't feel the need to attempt it as an adult (because seriously, WHO do these people think they are kidding by flopping a long, loose blob of hair over their huge bald spot? Not I.)
Hee hee!
