"A lifetime of training, for just 10 seconds."

Some years I'm into the Olympics, and some years I'm not. This year, I'm INTO it and cannot wait to see the opening ceremonies! I have a TV schedule printed out with my favorite events highlighted: gymnastics (of course!), swimming, diving, and track. I don't know how much of this I'll be able to watch in the end, but I'm ready. As for tonight, I'm making pizza and letting the kids stay up late. Let the games begin!!

I've already got it Tivo-ed! I love watching ordinary people become heros!
Last time I watched the open cerimonies they were a little weird.
Someone told me they mostly loved seeing the stories about the people competing, but any time I turn the olympics on I see none of that. Am I watching at the wrong time? and watching the wrong events?
Will someone tell me wich Olympics I'm suppose to watch so that I can enjoy them too?
I like the stories too, but you never know when you're gonna see one cuz they just mix them throughout. I like Julie's Tivo plan, cuz then you could just fast-forward to the good stories and events. I don't have Tivo though. My plan is to just waste lots of time in front of the TV waiting for fun stories. :)
What a nice Mommy! I totally forgot about the olympics (everybody say DUH!) but at about 10:30 last night I remembered when Matt was watching it on TV. I'm going to have pay more attention.
Yaaa! We actually got to watch it too and probably the same time you did. I think we are getting everything LIVE here in Okinawa. Wahoooo!
