My baby turned NINE today!!!!
"Hmmm... what will my wish be?"Brian has carried on a tradition from his childhood. He gives the kids birthday spankings, but the catch is they have to count while he does it. If they mess up (because he went too fast, or because he acts like he's going to spank him but doesn't and they count anyway, or just because he's pretending they messed up) he starts all over. Amidst tons of giggles, this ritual takes approximately forever, and they absolutely love it:

John, you are a wonderful boy. We enjoy you so much. Thank you for being so sweet and kind, and for bringing so much joy into our home. You're smart, caring, thoughtful, and funny. We love you very, very much!

Are those the shoes with the roller scate bottoms? Smith will be so jealous. He see's the commercial and asks for those all the time, but I'm pretty sure they don't make them for kids his age.
Happy Birthday, John! I love the spanking tradition. When I was in first grade, we had a similar tradition. All the kids in class would stand in a line with their legs open. The birthday kid would have to crawl through the tunnel of legs, and as he/she went through, he/she got spanked by each person. I'd be willing to bet a lot of money they don't do that anymore, but I remember thinking it was a lot of fun. :0)
