We planted our dwarf peach tree last spring in "bare root" condition. This year we are rewarded with one (that's right ONE) peach growing on it. Actually, I didn't expect to see any peaches till next year, so I'm thinking our little tree is ahead. However, I predict the big drama of the spring will be getting that peach plucked after it's ripe but before the birds get to it.
.
I'm not sure how well that's going to go. There are about a million birds around here and only five of us.
.
Do you think I should build a scarecrow?

Careful . . . I know where you live . . . and I know where that little peach is. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
LOL! I bet you'd find a way to can that peach or something else equally marvelous!
Hi Donna. It's Anna. Hope you don't mind me finding your blog!
Okay, I'm totally rooting for you to get the peach. If you beat the birds it will make me feel better about all the rabbits and birds that get into our garden. Keep us posted!! (Oh, and I guess you may be fighting off Roccy too!)
