This is what I saw on my way to dropping Chris off at school:
That's not just any bird...
It's a wild turkey! How cool is that? I don't think I've ever seen a wild turkey in the city, unless you count the zoo, which I don't.
He finally got tired of me looking at him and flew away...
Way away.Chris said, "Take a picture of my hand mommy!"
(Consider it done.) Little things like this really make me happy. Something unusual, something cool, just a little something to remind me that our world is wonderful and life is too. So that's what I'm grateful for today.

It totally looks like a vulture to me.
I LOVE seeing unexpected wildlife. A few weeks ago I saw a prairie dog scoot across the road. And I always get all excited when I see a coyote, even though they're a dime a dozen.

That's cool. If I show Jason, I'm sure he'll be jealous he didn't spy such a thing with a gun in hand.
